Everybody likes a long weekend, right?
The Weeknd made history Monday as his certified Platinum smash "Blinding Lights" became the first song in history to spend 52 consecutive weeks—a full year—in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart:

It's the first song in history to spend a full year in the top 10.
On the #Hot100 this week, @theweeknd's "Blinding Lights" has now spent:

43 weeks in the top 5 (record-extending)
52 weeks in the top 10 (record-extending)
58 weeks in the top 20 (2nd-most all-time)
61 weeks in the top 40 (tied 3rd-most)
65 weeks on the chart (tied 7th-most)
"Blinding Lights" sits at No. 5 this week, and it peaked at No. 1 last April. That marked The Weeknd's—born Abel Tesfaye—fourth time topping the Hot 100 as a solo artist alongside his past singles "The Hills," "Can't Feel My Face" and "Heartless."
The hit got even more mainstream exposure last month, as the grand finale of The Weeknd's Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show. (There's also a high probability you got tired of hearing the song on the incessant commercial leading up to the big game.)
It was a controversial decision for The Recording Academy to opt against nominating The Weeknd at all for "Blinding Lights" or any work off his After Hours album at next Sunday's 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. It was a decision the 31-year-old did not let slide:
The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency...

The Weeknd did, however, appreciate his Billboard milestone:
