Todd Chrisley’s Son Kyle Speaks Out After Getting Arrested for Aggravated Assault
Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office

Todd Chrisley‘s eldest son, Kyle Chrisley, is speaking out after he was arrested on Monday, September 9, for aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

The arrest happened in Tennessee, with a rep for Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office confirming to In Touch Weekly that Kyle was “charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest” and released on a $6,500 bond. A court hearing has been set for December.

Following the arrest, Kyle took to Instagram, where he shared a photo of himself on the floor in handcuffs while being apprehended by police officers. In the caption, he disputed the charges, claiming that a man had been threatening him for months and trying to extort him for money.

Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Kyle has expanded on his side of the story, saying that he “called the police for help with a man at my home threatening my life, ramming into my wife’s car, who came back and tried to run me over. Said out loud that was his intention.”

“Literally said ‘Kyle I will kill you dead’, told me to jump in front of his car so he could run me over while revving up his engine and instead of arresting him, they arrest me,” he continued. “As if he is a victim in this situation and I am the aggressor.”

Kyle said he believes police sided with the other man possibly due to his famous last name. Kyle’s dad, Todd Chrisley, is currently serving a federal prison sentence for bank and tax fraud.

“Maybe it’s because of my last name. I have heard Rutherford County likes to make a name for themselves and I think they saw this as an opportunity to do just that,” Kyle added.

“I also think it’s very easy for this man to fabricate a story knowing I’ve already had a similar alleged incident and especially when he knows he just came to my house, caused property damage and publicly displayed his intentions to run me over with his vehicle,” he explained.

Last March, Kyle was arrested for felony aggravated assault when he was accused of threatening his boss during an argument at work. In April, prosecutors dismissed the charges before a trial, though court records did not reveal why the case was closed.

After Kyle shared his post about the latest situation on Instagram, the reaction from commenters was mixed, with some thinking he only made things worse by posting about it publicly.

“Dude why let the world know this crap. You’re whole family’s 15min of fame is up,” wrote one commenter.

“Kyle, please do better! It’s going to be posted every where now!” said another.

Another added, “I know them personally and both Kyle and his wife are very nice people! Everyone is so quick to judge!”

“Their going after all the Chrisleys, Unreal!” said another.

“How do you get yourself into these situations? I work multiple jobs and I’m never targeted by police,” wrote one fan.

Another added, “Always more to the story. I don’t believe anything Kyle says.”

Kyle is Todd’s second child with his ex-wife, Teresa Terry. He is the brother of Todd’s eldest child, Lindsie Chrisley. While Kyle featured in the first season of Chrisley Knows Best, he disappeared from future seasons after suffering from substance abuse issues and becoming estranged from his father.

Todd went on to marry Julie, who is also serving a federal prison sentence for bank and tax fraud. Todd and Julie have three children: Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley, and Grayson Chrisley. They also gained custody of Kyle’s daughter, Chloe, who is now under the guardianship of Savannah while Todd and Julie are behind bars.

Savannah has previously talked about how Kyle and Lindsie have no contact with the rest of the family.

Dodgers facing potential trade decision amid Blake Snell news

Left-handed starting pitcher Blake Snell is in his 10th major-league season after making his debut with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2016. Snell spent time with the San Diego Padres, then signed a deal with the San Francisco Giants after the 2023 season, which he later opted out of to enter free agency in 2024. The 32-year-old veteran signed a five-year, $182M contract this offseason with the Los Angeles Dodgers after an exceptional 2024 campaign. Snell earned such a lucrative contract thanks to his outstanding career to date, which includes two Cy Young Awards and an All-Star appearance. Over 213 career starts, he owns a 77–58 record, a 3.18 ERA and 1,372 strikeouts. Snell was placed on the injured list on April 6 (retroactive to April 3) with left shoulder inflammation after experiencing discomfort during a bullpen session; he had made only two starts for the Dodgers before the injury. After four minor-league rehab outings, manager Dave Roberts announced on Sunday that Snell is expected to rejoin the rotation next week. With his return looming, the Dodgers have decided to shift to a six-man rotation but now face a decision on right-hander Dustin May’s roster status. May returned to a full-time starting role for the first time in two seasons and has struggled. On Sunday against the Boston Red Sox, May allowed four runs in five innings of work, and he entered the start with an ERA of 4.73. May’s name has surfaced in trade rumors, and he is a candidate to potentially be moved to the bullpen. He is an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

Raiders rookie WR showing he could be steal of 2025 draft

Las Vegas Raiders WR Dont'e Thornton Jr. is opening eyes at training camp, including QB Geno Smith, who appears to be trusting the rookie. Maybe that is the reason why general manager John Spytek has not looked for outside help at the position. And just maybe he got a steal from the 2025 NFL Draft. That looked evident on the first day of pads in Henderson, Nevada, where Thornton badly beat fellow rookie cornerback Darien Porter for a long touchdown, as described by The Athletic's Tashan Reed. In a piece, Reed said Thornton has been the first-string "X" receiver since OTAs and "could make an immediate impact." Thornton shared what Smith told him during training camp: "He tells me every single day, 'if you've got a one-on-one matchup, I'm coming to you,'" Smith said, as shared by Reed. "It means a lot to me. Being a rookie and just getting here ... just knowing that he believes in me a lot. It gives me a lot of motivation to keep getting better." While the headlines are more on rookie RB Ashton Jeanty for his potential big season, Thornton is making sure he is not forgotten after getting selected in the fourth round (108th overall) after leading the University of Tennessee with 661 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, Thornton is getting all the opportunities he can get, given the Raiders didn't bother to add a veteran WR. One could see why Thornton is raising eyebrows in training camp. That is a good thing because Smith is trusting Thornton's potential playmaking abilities. Thornton is one of the tallest Raiders WRs besides Collin Johnson, and that could be a big deal given the Raiders need a big target minus TEs Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas. Yet, ESPN's Mike Clay is projecting Thornton to have a quiet year with 317 receiving yards and a TD. With such low numbers, maybe that is how the Raiders would prefer it to be, anyway. Only the Raiders know what they have in Thornton. It is up to Thornton to keep the momentum going into preseason games and beyond.

Bruins' David Pastrnak Calls Out Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: ‘He Just Lacks Humility'

Juraj Slafkovsky is one of the most promising players in the NHL, but now he has been called out by David Pastrnak, who stated he lacks humility. After being picked No. 1 overall in 2022 NHL Draft, expectations were high in Montreal for young star Juraj Slafkovsky, and thus far, he's shown glimpses of being the elite level player many expected when he entered the National Hockey League. However, there are still some major steps to go, and in a recent interview, Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak pointed out perhaps one area where the 21-year old may need to improve moving forward. When asked about Slafkovsky and his potential, Pastrnak gave nothing but a glowing review of the young Canadiens star, but he did note that he believes Slafkovsky needs more humility. 'He's still a young player who is gaining experience in the NHL every year. This season it was already clear that he gave the team more than before...He just needs a little more humility, he should set an example for the young ones.' On the ice, there's no doubting that Slafkovsky has the presence, the size and the talent to be a true star, posting 101 total points over the past two seasons, but for whatever reason, it appears as though Pastrnak believes he needs to improve off the ice before he can take a major leap in Montreal. Ultimately, the talent is still there for Slafkovsky, and at 21-years old, he'll continue to learn off the ice, and if he can go anywhere close to living up to the potential that he's shown in his first three years at the NHL level, there's no doubt that he can be a big time star and help lead the Canadiens to significant post-season success.

Green Bay Packers: Jaire Alexander Held Out of Baltimore Ravens Practice for Predictable Reason

One of the biggest storylines in the NFL this offseason was the decision the Green Bay Packers made to release two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander. Last year, the former first-round pick played in just seven games due to various injuries, including a torn PCL that cost him all but 10 snaps of the second half of the season. The year prior, he played just seven games as well due to other injuries. In other words, out of the past 34 possible regular season games, Alexander played in just 14 of them. Dating back to 2021, he played in just 34 out of a possible 68 regular season games, with 2022 being the only season in which he played more than seven contests. According to prior reports, Green Bay and Alexander disagreed on how his knee injury last season should be treated. This led to a fracture in their relationship and, eventually, the cornerback’s release. Former Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Signed with the Baltimore Ravens Prior to his release, Alexander and the Packers had engaged in talks over a revised contract that would lower his salary cap hit and allow him to become a free agent following this upcoming season. However, he did not agree to Green Bay’s terms, and since no NFL team wanted to offer up draft capital in a trade for him, the Packers were forced to release him. Not only was this development a disappointment to fans, among whom Alexander was a favorite player, but it sparked concern that would join one of Green Bay’s NFC North division rivals. Instead, though, Alexander signed a one-year $6 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He had previously been linked to them due to the fact that he and two-time NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson were teammates in college. Former Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Missed Baltimore Ravens Practice with a Knee Injury Unfortunately for Alexander and the Ravens, the injury concerns that the Packers had regarding the star cornerback seem to have reappeared in Baltimore. According to multiple reporters, the two-time Pro Bowler did not practice on Monday due to swelling in his knee: Alexander is getting his knee drained and is expected to practice on Tuesday. But even though it is just one practice and he is just supposed to miss one day, the fact of the matter is that his knee will never be the same. This will be an injury that will affect him for the rest of his career, and could cause him to miss time during the season. While an unpopular decision among many, perhaps releasing Alexander was the right move for the Packers after all.
