Summerslam, one of WWE’s biggest pay-per-views, will hit the big screen for the first time this coming August. The companies announced the stream through its partnership with Fandango. The two-night event will take place at MetLife Stadium, which is home to the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The first night will be on August 2. The second night will take place on Sunday, August 3.

WWE Summerslam to Stream in Regal Cinemas

The massive two-night event will stream live in select Regal Cinemas across the nation. Tickets are available for purchase through Fandango, and fans can choose between single-night tickets or a two-night bundle. In addition, the bundle includes access to screenings and an exclusive Summerslam t-shirt. 12 matches are confirmed for the two-night event, including the in-ring debut of country musician Jelly Roll.

The pay-per-view marks the birth of a bigger and broader partnership between Fandango and WWE. For future WWE Premim live events, other theatre partners are expected to follow suit at some point. Will McIntosh, president of Fandango, said in a press release, “WWE is one of the most electrifying global entertainment brands, and its events deserve to be experienced on the big screen, We’re thrilled to work with WWE and Regal Cinemas to bring the action-packed SummerSlam 2025 cinema presentation to fans nationwide.”

Regal executives added to the enthusiasum of the partnership between the company and theatre brand.They were highlighting the theatrical viewing of Summerslam as a huge extension of WWE’s live experience. Some headline matches include the high-profile Wrestlemania 41 rematch between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill challenging Tiffany Stratton for the Smackdown WWE Women’s championship, and Gunther defending his World Title against CM Punk.

Brooks LeBoeuf, senior vice president of U.S. content at Regal Cinemas, said, “WWE has redefined how fans connect with live entertainment, and bringing SummerSlam to Regal’s screens elevates that experience to a whole new level. We’re excited to partner with WWE and Fandango to deliver this immersive, action-packed event in theaters—making fans feel like they’re ringside, no matter where they are.”

Final Thoughts

Summerslam will be streaming live on Peacock in the United States. In addition, the event will be available on Netflix outside of the U.S. WWE’s move with Netflix has been a lot for hardcore fans of the company. Other potential matches could in Sheamus vs. Russev, Damiam Priest vs. Aleister Black, Stephanie Vaquer vs. Chelsea Green, and Zelina Vega vs. Gulia in a rematch for the Women’s United States Championship. In other news, Fantastic Four: First Steps made a stellar debut in the theatre.
