Miramax officially has secured the rights to Ruins, Amy Taylor's upcoming second book, with Vanessa Kirby and Sebastian Stan set to star and produce. According to DEADLINE, Scott Free, Linden Entertainment, and Kirby's Aluna Entertainment created the package.
"Ruins follows a couple whose affair with a young Greek woman over the course of a summer in Athens threatens to crack their relationship open in a story about privilege and power, desire and intimacy."
In the United States, Ruins will be published by The Dial Press on August 12. In Australia and New Zealand, Allen & Unwin will publish the novel on July 1.
Kirby will produce the project for Aluna alongside Stan, Scott Free, and Linden.
Stan can most recently be seen reprising his longtime role of Bucky Barnes in Thunderbolts* The New Avengers while Kirby will next be seen in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which will be released in theaters on July 25, as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman.
On Instagram, the actress wrote, "The happiest honour to get to know Sue Storm, and the family."
With them both being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they will co-star in the next Avengers film, Doomsday. The actors were part of the first wave of confirmed cast members announced during a five and a half hour live stream by Marvel Studios.
Additionally, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal will star.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled for December 18, 2026
