Another year, another Call of Duty. This time, Treyarch is back at the helm with Black Ops 7, and the hype train is chugging along at full speed. While we’ve seen flashy trailers and carefully curated gameplay snippets, let’s be honest—we all really care about one thing: the guns. The tools of the trade. The things we’ll be using to dominate multiplayer lobbies and fume over when they’re used against us.

Treyarch is promising a launch-day arsenal of 30 weapons across multiplayer, campaign, and Zombies. While they haven’t given us the full list (because where’s the fun in that?), eagle-eyed fans and dedicated YouTubers have already picked apart every frame of available footage. Thanks to their heroic efforts, we have a pretty solid idea of what to expect when the game drops this November. So, let’s dive into the confirmed, the classic, and the completely new weapons coming to Black Ops 7.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 7: Classic Weapons Making a Comeback

Treyarch knows how to play the nostalgia card, and they’re playing it well. Several fan-favorite weapons are returning, ready to make veterans feel right at home while giving new players a taste of what made past games so great. It’s like seeing an old friend, except this friend helps you get a 20-kill streak.

First up is the legendary M8A1. Yes, the four-round burst assault rifle that terrorized Black Ops 2 lobbies is back. Get ready for that satisfying thump-thump-thump-thump as you land one-burst kills from across the map. Whether it’s classified as a tactical rifle or an assault rifle this time around, its return is enough to make a grown gamer cry tears of joy (or rage, depending on which end of the barrel you’re on).

Joining the M8A1 is the Peacekeeper MK1. This versatile SMG-assault rifle hybrid was a DLC weapon in BO2, and its blend of mobility and range made it a jack-of-all-trades. Its inclusion at launch is a fantastic move, giving players a solid, reliable option from day one. We’re also seeing the return of the MSMC, another iconic SMG known for its high damage and controllable recoil.

And for you pistol-swappers, the machine pistol KAP-40 is making its glorious return. Prepare for those clutch close-quarters engagements where your primary runs dry and this little beast saves the day.

New Additions to the Arsenal

It wouldn’t be a new Call of Duty without some fresh hardware to master. Black Ops 7 is introducing a mix of futuristic and modern-day weaponry to keep the sandbox feeling new and exciting.

Leading the charge for the newcomers is the Echo 12, a shotgun that looks like it packs a serious punch. From the gameplay we’ve seen, it seems to have a decent fire rate, which could make it a nightmare on smaller maps. We also have the VS Recon, a sleek new sniper rifle that looks primed for some epic quick-scoping montages.

On the assault rifle front, the Rampart 17 (codenamed “Eagle”) is a heavy-hitter that looks like a spiritual successor to the SCAR. There’s also what appears to be a futuristic assault rifle that can function as a hybrid SMG/AR, much like the Ripper from Ghosts. The potential for on-the-fly weapon adaptation is an exciting prospect.

Other new toys include the Dravec 45, a futuristic submachine gun reminiscent of the PP19 Bizon, and the Jager 45, a full-auto pistol that sounds absolutely terrifying. And let’s not forget the “energy launcher” seen in the trailer, because nothing says “Black Ops” like blowing things up with something that glows.

What to Expect Next

The list doesn’t stop there. Diligent content creators like TheXclusiveAce have identified even more weapons, including a KN44-style AK, a futuristic P90/PDW-57 hybrid, and even a new multi-caliber LMG. Of course, some of these weapons are still unidentified, and their official names could change before launch.

We know 23 of the 30 launch weapons so far, leaving a few surprises in store. The full picture will become clearer during the upcoming COD Next event and the multiplayer beta in October. That’s when we’ll get hands-on experience and finally learn the official names and stats for this growing arsenal.

Until then, we can only speculate and get hyped. The blend of classic guns and new, innovative weapons is promising. Treyarch seems to be building a robust and diverse weapon pool that caters to all playstyles, from the run-and-gun SMG player to the patient sniper. Get ready to grind those camos, because it looks like we’ll have plenty of fantastic options to choose from come November.
