Insider predicts Bronny James to choose USC

On3.com National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw logged a prediction on Friday forecasting that Bronny James will play college basketball at USC next season.

Shaw put the odds at 72.3% that the Trojans will land a commitment from James. Shaw's confidence level with the pick is 60%.

In addition to USC, Ohio State and Oregon are the other finalists to land LeBron James' eldest son. 

Back during his junior season, 247Sports.com's Eric Bossi had this to say about James as a prospect:

"Slowly but surely, Bronny James is starting to come into his own as a player on a loaded Sierra Canyon team. James' 6-foot-3 frame has filled out nicely and he's added some pop on drives to the rim through traffic or in transition. One of his strengths is his ability to make catch and shoot jump shots and he is a fantastic passer. James gives good effort on the defensive end where he plays with toughness and versatility. There are times where he can be a bit passive on the offensive end, but overall he has made positive strides as a junior."

James has improved in his senior season which has led to a jump in the recruiting rankings for the 2023 class. Back in February, ESPN's Jonathan Givony predicted that James would be a top ten pick in the 2024 NBA Draft after spending one year in college. 

James recently played in the McDonald's All-American Game in Houston scoring 15 points. This week, James is participating in The Nike Hoop Summit, a prestigious week-long event that pits the nation's top high school seniors against the top under-19 talent from around the world.
