Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo has been scratched from his scheduled start on Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays due to illness, according to Charlie Goldsmith of Charlie's Chalkboard.

Scott Barlow will start on the mound for the Reds and they're expected to add a pitcher to the roster before the game.

Lodolo has made one start since returning from the injured list with a blister issue. He gave up four runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Dodgers.

It is worth noting that Chase Petty is scheduled to pitch in Louisville on Tuesday. There is a chance he could be the one that is called up, although he has not been pitching well lately.

Lodolo is 8-7 with a 3.22 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 24 starts. The left-hander has already pitched a career high innings this season.
