The newest breakout superstar for the Diamondbacks received another amazing honor as Geraldo Perdomo was named the Player of the Season for the D-Backs.
Geraldo Perdomo’s spectacular season has come with another highlight as Diamondbacks Manager Torey Lovullo and the Arizona Baseball Writers’ Association voted Perdomo as not only the most valuable player for the D-Backs, but also the overall best player.
Perdomo’s offensive explosion this season included a .290 batting average, 20 home runs, and an .851 OPS. This was all while Perdomo was becoming the first shortstop in Diamondbacks history to hit 100 RBIs in a single season. This is easily one of the biggest reasons why the argument was made for Perdomo winning over guys like Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte.

This matters for D-Backs fans, as it gives them another thing to celebrate after an unfortunate ending to the 2025 MLB season that saw the D-Backs miss the postseason. It also signals another amazing contract extension from General Manager Mike Hazen, as Arizona has found another star to build around with alongside Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, and Gabriel Moreno.
