Your minor league stuff from Wednesday Down East was suspended in the second inning. Newly promoted Kohl Drake made his first start in high-A and was excellent, allowing a solo home run, striking out five and not walking anyone in five innings.

Texas Rangers Sign Former Outfielder To Deal As Pitcher

The Texas Rangers announced the signing of four more players to minor-league contracts, including a former outfielder who now intends to pitch. DJ Peters, an outfielder who played 52 games for the Rangers in 2021, signed a deal that will bring him to minor league spring training in Surprise, Ariz., as a pitcher.
