When the Orioles drafted Jud Fabian in the second round of the 2022 draft, they knew he was a big strikeout guy. His strikeout rate with the University of Florida was about 25%.

Enrique Bradfield Jr. used his speed to steal a victory for Chesapeake while the Shorebirds home opener got postponed due to poor field conditions. Despite racing out to an early lead, the Tides needed extras to down the Stripers with Maverick Handley delivering the walk-off single in the 10th.
None of the affiliates won, although there were several nice performances up and down the farm. The Tides managed to squander a 6-0 lead thanks to an unsteady outing from starter Kyle Brnovich (4.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K) and a pair of bad relief outings.
Samuel Basallo, Jud Fabian and Luis Vázquez all went deep in Norfolk’s win over the Knights. Norfolk came to play in their final night alone in the minor league spotlight.
