Kevin Owens Comments on Potential Feud with CM Punk

Kevin Owens and CM Punk have never met inside the squared circle in WWE. Will we witness a rivalry between the two charismatic superstars? Well, KO is open for the idea.

Ever since CM Punk made a blockbuster return last year, it opened up the possibilities of several fantasy matchups. Kevin Owens vs CM Punk is certainly on the list. 

The anticipation of the epic clash has been building for years. Given CM Punk's fiery promos and Kevin Owens' fearless attitude, there have been speculation about a potential feud along the line. In the past, both of them have acknowledged each other's talents and have expressed their desire to face off which adds fuel to the fire of this dream match.

Kevin Owens is open to the idea of a feud with CM Punk

Fans were given a tease of a future feud when they recently had a very brief interaction backstage on SmackDown last year. It is understood the fans were thrilled when they came across each other during the segment.

Speaking with Indiatoday, Owens was asked about Punk mentioning that he and Owens were 'too much alike.' It is something 'The Prizefighter' agrees to and believes that have carved their paths and done things in their careers in their own way.

However, KO also clarified that there are a lot of aspects they're different on as well.

"We're both guys that probably, you know, have done things their own way, in a sense. But there's probably a lot that we're very different on as well, so I think it's a little bit of both," said Owens.

Meanwhile, speaking about having a feud with Punk, Owens was open to the idea for the future. The former WWE Universal Champion stated that he was sure he would end up in the ring facing the former WWE Champion soon.

"I'm sure we'll end up in the ring together at some point. It seems, uh, like there's no way we wouldn't," said Owens.

Both Kevin Owens and CM Punk will compete in the high stakes 30-man Royal Rumble match and a possibility of a face-off remains intact. We will have to wait and see what WWE has in store for them.

Royal Rumble Premium Live Event takes place on Saturday, January 27 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
