Nicolo Bulega puts 2027 in play: Fresh MotoGP options and a clearer plan

Bulega reveals he has multiple offers on the table

Speaking to reporters during the Dutch round of World Superbikes, Bulega talked about his long-standing goal of joining the top tier of motorcycle racing.

The Italian told journalists, via Motorsport Italia: “Right now, on the MotoGP front, we have to wait for the bigger names to settle in because everything depends on them. The dream of MotoGP has been with me since I was little, and we’re working hard to make it happen.

“I’m certainly happy to be here in Superbike, but dreams are dreams. Together with Alberto Martinelli, we’re working hard to try to make it to MotoGP. It’s not easy because a couple of things have to fall into place.

“Right now, however, the doors aren’t closed, and I have options on several fronts. So we’ll see which one comes first.”

“I experience stress when I don’t have options,” he added. “In this case if things go badly for me, I would stay in Superbike as a top rider knowing that there are many factory teams. Therefore I believe I will find a place.”

Trackhouse could be a destination for Nicolo Bulega

One of the options that Bulega alluded to in his comments to the press in the Netherlands may be Aprilia’s satellite team, Trackhouse.

MotoGP journalist Giovanni Zamagni suggested on a recent livestream that Trackhouse could be an alternative to one of Ducati’s supported teams for Bulega, mentioning that team boss Davide Brivio is known to admire the rider’s abilities.

Aprilia technical director Fabiano Sterlacchini is also reportedly open to bringing Bulega into the team, adding weight to speculation that he could join Noale’s only satellite outfit next season.

With Marco Bezzecchi and Francesco Bagnaia expected to lead Aprilia next year, Bulega might have to wait before getting a shot at a full factory seat if he does end up moving there.
