Kyrie Irving and LeBron James started their relationship the best way in Cleveland. The King took the young point guard under his wing trying to teach him one thing or two about winning in the NBA. They made it to three consecutive NBA Finals from 2015 through 2017, winning one championship in 2016.

Although they were great on the court and seemingly had a solid relationship, things were different and Kyrie and LeBron grew apart, ultimately leading to the former's trade request after the 2017 NBA playoffs.

Kyrie has reflected on his time with the Cavs and LeBron, revealing that he didn't feel good about how things ended in Cleveland, but admitting that he wanted something new after the 2017 Finals. During a recent appearance on I AM ATHLETE, Irving called LeBron 'LeGM' while admitting that James actually built the roster in Cleveland.

“We had players. We had hoopers, bro. Bron was like behind the scenes [thinking]. What’s his nickname they call him? LeGM? He put the squad together. I wasn’t mad at ‘em. I was like, 'alright, bet, this is how it goes.'”

LeBron has earned this reputation of picking the players he wants to play with and making front offices land them, and Kyrie just confirmed that. To be fair, that led him to go to four consecutive Finals with the Cavaliers, so it's not like he did a terrible job. Still, that wasn't enough to keep Kyrie happy and on the roster, as he was traded to the Boston Celtics, where he also had a fallout.

Now, James has been heavily criticized for his role in the Los Angeles Lakers' roster for this season, and it remains to be seen if he'll have a heavy voice again this offseason. Kyrie confirmed one of the worst-kept secrets in the NBA and it is hilarious. LeGM is actually a thing.
