We are now seven weeks into the new NBA season and there is a lot to be determined.

There are dozens upon dozens of games that will be played over the next few months and predicting a 2022-23 champion right now is a very tricky, and silly, thing to do.

However, there are certain teams who have risen to the top – and stayed there since tip-off back in October.

Take the Boston Celtics, for example.

Since the season started, the Celtics have reigned supreme and have been playing incredibly well, picking up where last season left off.

This has led them to sit atop the Week 7 Power Rankings by NBA.com.

The Celtics are the top team in the league, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and then Denver Nuggets.

A lot has changed within the league since the season started last month but the Celtics have remained remarkably consistent.

Are they the league’s only sure thing right now?

Celtics Strong

In some ways, it’s not surprising to see the Celtics doing so well.

Remember, they made it all the way to the NBA Finals last season and almost won, if it weren’t for those pesky Golden State Warriors.

On the other hand, it is a bit surprising to see them perform so well, considering all the chaos they endured during the summer.

They lost a head coach to a one-year suspension and a couple of players to injuries.

Yet, they have persisted and pushed through all the competition.

There is still a lot of the season left but, right now, the Celtics are the most reliable team in both the east and west.
