The season did not end as planned for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. This is after the Dubs suffered a season-ending defeat at the hands of the Phoenix Suns on Friday, 111-96.
The Suns booked their spot in the NBA playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the West after beating the Warriors. Unfortunately, it’s the end of the line for Curry and Co., as they miss the postseason for the second time in three years.
The silver lining for Curry is that he has the unwavering support of his wife, Ayesha Curry. The Warriors superstar’s better half took to social media on Saturday to send a proud message amid the unwanted turn of events.
After turning in a vintage performance in Golden State’s play-in win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, Curry fell back down to earth on Friday against Phoenix. The former back-to-back MVP struggled with his shot, going 4-of-16 overall and 3-of-10 from distance for 17 points.
Ayesha Curry’s support, however, remains steadfast. She had a five-word message for her man now that the Warriors' season has officially come to an end.
“Endlessly proud of my @stephencurry30 !!!" Ayesha Curry posted in an Instagram story.
It’s a heartbreaking end to Steph Curry’s 17th season in the NBA. On the bright side, he will now have more time to spend with his wife and their family in the offseason.
Steph and Ayesha Curry have been together since 2008. They got married in 2011 and now have four kids. Their eldest daughter is Riley, 13. Ryan, another girl, is 10. They also have two sons: Canon, 7, and Chai, 1.
