James Harden shockingly skips 76ers Media Day
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Sixers’ star James Harden is reported to be out of Philadelphia on Monday, skipping the team’s scheduled Media Day as he awaits a trade. Shams Charania was the first to report the news.

James Harden skips media day

James Harden has made it abundantly clear he has no interest in continuing his tenure with the team. Between the failed contract negotiations, trade requests, and of course the video heard ‘round the world, any last hope of Harden continuing his tenure in Philadelphia seems to have been dashed.

It’s unclear if he will report to training camp later this week or will play at all for the Sixers while the team seeks a trade. But if his absence Monday is any indication, it seems Sixers fans may be in for another holdout situation.

Adrian Wojnarowski added that The Beard’s stance has not changed, that the Los Angeles Clippers remain his preferred destination, and that while the teams have talked recently, no progress on a transaction seems to have been made.

Expect Harden’s absence and trade request to be a hot topic all throughout Monday’s Media Day.
