Jimmy Butler's Very Bold Statement After Miami Heat Lose Game 6
USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday evening, the Miami Heat lost Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Boston Celtics (on their home floor) by a score of 104-103.

After winning each of the first three games of the series, the Heat have now lost the last three.

Therefore, Game 7 will be back in Boston on Monday night, and the winner will advance to the NBA Finals and face off against the Denver Nuggets.

Jimmy Butler, who is the team's best player, was clutch at the end of the game but had a horrendous shooting night.

The six-time All-Star finished the game with 27 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and one steal but shot just 5/21 from the field (in 47 minutes of playing time).

After the game, Butler met with the media and shared a bold statement.

Butler: "I'm not gonna let anybody quit. I'm not gonna let our guys quit. I don't give a damn what happens. We gonna go in there, and we gonna win."

The Heat are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference but have one of the best rosters in the league and have defeated the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks through the first two rounds.

Butler is in his fourth season with the franchise and has led them to the Playoffs in all four years.

In addition, this is their third time in the Conference Finals in the previous four seasons (they have played the Celtics three times).

The Heat won in 2020, and the Celtics won last year.
