Kings Head Coach Is Fired Up Like His Team
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Fans of the Sacramento Kings are getting a sense of deja vu.

That is because they are all very hopeful that the upcoming season might be the one when things turn around for the team and they could once again reach the playoffs after nearly two decades of a postseason drought.

However, those who love the Kings are careful to not get too excited because they know expectation is the root of all heartbreak.

But it’s hard to not get pumped up when you know how thrilled the team and head coach are.

While speaking to the press the other day, head coach Mike Brown‘s comments were interrupted by a group of Kings players screaming off-camera.

When asked if he was concerned about their screams, Brown said no.

In fact, he joined in and let out his own energized yell.

That sort of energy and spirit will come in handy in the months ahead because the Kings have a lot to prove.

Kings In Contention

The Kings haven’t been good in ages.

In fact, there are many NBA players who weren’t even alive the last time the team was dominant in the league.

But Sacramento has made some important changes recently, acquiring great draft picks and hiring Brown to coach the team.

Brown has had success from all over the league, including with the Cleveland Cavaliers and recently when he was an assistant under Steve Kerr with the Golden State Warriors.

His biggest task now lays ahead of him because he’s never been a part of a team as troubled as the Kings.

They are a long way from perfect but they do contain a lot of promise and have some great young up-and-comers.
