The Atlanta Hawks have made some huge changes over the last few weeks in hopes of reigniting the fire in their bellies and once again competing in the Eastern Conference.

They acquired the wildly talented Dejounte Murray at the start of free agency, which could really up their chances and turn them into a huge threat.

They’re not done adding more skill to the team, but not all acquisitions will be seen on the court.

It is being reported that the Hawks are finalizing a deal to hire former NBA player Kyle Korver to a front office role.

Korver found great success when playing for the Hawks from 2012 to 2017 and earned his sole All-Star appearance while rocking the Hawks jersey.

He was previously a player development coach for the Brooklyn Nets but is now headed back to the team that made him such a star.

What will he bring to the Hawks’ front office?

Korver Coaching

Korver definitely has a lot to offer the players in Atlanta.

He averaged 9.7 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists a game while playing in the NBA.

But the guard was known for his wonderfully impressive three-point shot.

There were times when his three-point percentage reached 53% and it was in the mid-to-high 40s for most of his tenure in Atlanta.

He was a supremely dangerous shooter and those skills could definitely help take the Hawks to the next level.

Trae Young is already a talented three-point player but he could get better, as could others on the squad.

Korver can teach this team how to space the floor, find shots, and move with authority and purpose.

This is just the latest sign that the Hawks could be on the rebound.
