Massive News About Devin Booker
USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Suns have been playing without All-Star guard Devin Booker since Christmas.

He has been out with a groin injury, and the Suns have gone 7-10 in 17 games without arguably their best player.

On Wednesday evening, they are hosting the Atlanta Hawks in Arizona, and before the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported an update on the former Kentucky star.

Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: Suns star Devin Booker – out for five weeks with a groin strain – could return as soon as Tuesday vs. Brooklyn:"

This is excellent news, as Booker is one of the top players in the NBA and is averaging 27.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists per contest this season (while shooting 47.7% from the field and 37.0% from the three-point range).

In the last (full game) that the 26-year-old played, he put up an unbelievable 58 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Over the last two seasons, the Suns have been one of the premier teams in the NBA.

They made the NBA Finals in 2021 and had the best record in the league during the 2022 season (64-18).

Right now, the Suns are 27-25 in 52 games, which has them tied with the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks for the fifth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 6-4 in their last ten games.

Booker was the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and is in his eighth season (all with the Suns).
