NBA odds: Lakers, Bucks the betting favorites for Finals matchup in Orlando

The NBA will return to the court at the end of July, with a 22-team format at Walt Disney World, and while all teams will be competing to be crowned the 2020 champion, not all will prove up to the task.

According to BetOnline.ag, a Western Conference team has the best odds to win the NBA championship while one specific Eastern Conference team will surely put up a strong fight.

Here are the top five teams with the best odds to win the NBA title:

  • Los Angeles Lakers +225
  • Los Angeles Clippers +275
  • Milwaukee Bucks +300
  • Boston Celtics +1,200
  • Houston Rockets +1,800

With LeBron James and Anthony Davis on board, the Lakers are positioned to win the title for the first time since the 2010-11 season, when Kobe Bryant was crowned the Finals MVP.

However, the Bucks won't go down without a fight and former New York Knicks head coach Jeff Van Gundy even picked Milwaukee to win the title. Van Gundy cited the Bucks' strong defense and depth as reasons they'll win the NBA championship ... and of course the talent of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

It seems that a healthy Celtics squad should be able to challenge the Bucks after falling to Milwaukee in five games in the 2019 semifinals. With Kemba Walker now in Boston and a much improved Jayson Tatum leading the way, the Celtics will prove to be a strong competitor for Milwaukee.
