The Los Angeles Lakers found themselves down 103-102 late in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets Sunday evening. Los Angeles needed one of its two stars, LeBron James or Anthony Davis, to step up in order to take a 2-0 series lead.

That’s when AD more than answered the call.

Davis took the inbounds pass with just over two seconds left and decided to hit a walk-off three-pointer for the win.

And the crowd went wild. OK, not really.

Even then, that is one of the most-clutch shots we’ve seen from a Lakers player since the days of the late, great Kobe Bryant. It gave Los Angeles a stranglehold on the series. The Lakers are now two wins from their first NBA Finals appearance in a decade.

Davis ended the game having scored 31 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the field. This came after the big man dropped 37 points in the series opener.

It also led to some rip-roaring reactions on social media.
