The Sixers are receiving the following second-round picks from the Thunder: 2027 (most favorable OKC/HOU/IND/MIA), 2028 MIL, 2028 OKC.
Philadelphia selected McCain with the 16th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The Duke product played in only 23 games during his rookie season because of a knee injury. McCain averaged 15.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
This season, McCain is averaging 6.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in 37 games. He missed time with a hand injury.
McCain is making $4.2 million this season.
The Thunder will be without superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander until after the All-Star break because of an abdominal strain, so the McCain trade comes at a good time for the defending NBA champions.
OKC has the best record in the league at 40-11. Meanwhile, Philadelphia is 29-21.
