Seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry picks Lakers to win 2020 title

The Los Angeles Lakers have some of the best odds to win the 2020 NBA title at Walt Disney World, and one former player outlined why he believes they'll accomplish the feat.

Former Laker, Robert Horry, is picking L.A. to win the title for multiple reasons, and it's not because he won three titles with the organization from 1999-2002.

"I think it's going to be the Lakers. At the end of the day when you're playing with no fans, you need talent," Horry said in a roundtable discussion with "I know the Clippers have a lot of talent and Milwaukee has a lot of talent, but I think when you got players like LeBron (James) and AD (Anthony Davis) playing together, it's hard to stop that combination.

"I know for a fact those two have the means to stay in the gym and they have the means to stay in shape and they have the means to have training so they don't lose a step."

According to, the Lakers have the best odds to win the title at +240, so it's no surprise Horry has his former club winning it all amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Although they lost Avery Bradley due to an opt-out, L.A. has made some necessary moves to shore up their roster ahead of the Orlando resume. To replace Bradley, the organization signed J.R. Smith and also encouraged reserve guard Alex Caruso to remain with the team and not attend his sister's wedding in Texas due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state.

If the Lakers pull off a title win, it'll be their 17th title and first since 2010.
