The 25 most notable teammates of Steph Curry's career

For nearly two decades, Stephen Curry has been the face of the Golden State Warriors. Throughout his time with the team, plenty of teammates have come and gone. These are the greatest ones.

1 of 25

Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson
Darren Yamashita/Imagn

The Warriors have the best shooter of all time in Curry, and for years, they had arguably the second-best in Thompson. The "Splash Brothers" enjoyed tremendous success together, winning four championships. Klay was an invaluable contributor, both with his shooting range and perimeter defense.

2 of 25

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant
Ken Blaze/Imagn

Durant only spent three seasons in Golden State, but his impact was tremendous. He scored at least 25 points per game for all three years, taking some of the scoring burden off of Curry. KD also delivered in the postseason, helping at two more titles to Curry's trophy case and winning two Finals MVP awards.

Draymond Green

Draymond Green
Jesse Johnson/Imagn

With over 900 appearances together, nobody has played more games with Steph than Draymond. His game was perfectly complementary to Curry's: He didn't need the ball in his hands and was happy to make his mark by distributing the ball and playing tough defense. He's a regular Defensive Player Of The Year candidate and managed to win the award in 2017.

Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala
Kyle Terada/Imagn

Iguodala played a more prominent role during his time in Philadelphia and that one season in Denver, but he settled into a more supporting role in Golden State. As a sixth man, Iggy led the second unit with his veteran maturity and reliable contributions. He stepped up in a huge way in 2015, when the Warriors won another title, and he was named the Finals MVP.

Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins
Darren Yamashita/Imagn

Curry has had a few All-Star teammates in his career, and in 2022, Wiggins was one of them. Often a reliable second scoring option to Curry, Wiggins spent parts of six seasons in Golden State. In his All-Star year, he helped power the Warriors to a title, including two 20-point games in the Finals.

6 of 25

Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes
Kyle Terada/Imagn

In the 2015 championship season, Barnes was a key starter for the Warriors. His consistent long-range shooting made the already-potent Golden State offense even deadlier. Barnes had some big games that postseason, like his 24-point night in the series-clinching win against the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals.

Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis
Jerome Miron/Imagn

Before Curry, the Warriors were Monta's team. Ellis never quite reached All-Star status, but in Steph's first two seasons, he averaged over 24 points per game, with Curry hovering in the high teens. After Ellis was traded in 2012, the keys were officially handed over to Steph.

Shaun Livingston
John G. Mabanglo/Imagn

After injuries derailed Livingston's promising NBA career, he enjoyed a renaissance in his final years with the Warriors. The 6'7" point guard had defenses on their heels when he came off the bench to lead the second unit. He had some big moments during his championship seasons with the team, including an 18-point night in the first game of the 2015 Western Conference Finals against the Rockets, helping his team set the tone for the five-game series.

Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

Poole provided a key scoring punch for the Warriors, especially in his final two seasons with the team, when he averaged 18 and 20 points per game, respectively. He was vital to the team's 2022 championship as he averaged 17 points a night during that postseason. His routine 20-point scoring nights and hot three-point shooting gave defenses even more to worry about after Curry and Klay Thompson.

10 of 25

Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler
Jesse Johnson/Imagn

Butler and Curry haven't yet spent much time together as Jimmy joined the Warriors part way through the 2024-25 season. The veteran forward has already made an impact, though, with his well-rounded game. His preference for scoring inside the perimeter is a strong complement to Curry's more range-based offensive strategy.

David Lee

David Lee
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

When Curry was developing into an all-league All-Star, Lee filled that role for the Warriors. In 2013, he was named an All-Star and selected to the All-NBA third team. His productivity gradually diminished, but it happened as Curry was reaching superstar status.

12 of 25

Jonathan Kuminga

Jonathan Kuminga
Cary Edmondson/Imagn

Debuting with the Warriors as a teenager, Kuminga has shown promise, upping his production with increased opportunities. His playing time was sporadic during the 2022 championship postseason during his rookie year, but he did enjoy some productive playoff moments, including a few starts and some games where he scored in the high teens.

Kevon Looney

Kevon Looney
Darren Yamashita/Imagn

Looney's numbers don't stand out, but he has remained with the Warriors for over a decade. He has proven willing to do whatever his team needs, whether he's starting or providing energy off the bench. Looney's biggest postseason performance came in 2022 with a 21-point and 12-rebound night in the Western Conference Finals.

14 of 25

Andrew Bogut

Andrew Bogut
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

By the time he reached Golden State, Bogut was no longer the all-NBA center he was with the Bucks. But, his inside presence and veteran leadership were valuable nonetheless. He was also a major key to the Warriors winning the title in 2015, thanks to routinely playing tough defense and logging multiple blocks per night.

Brandin Podziemski
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

As Curry enters his late 30s, some have seen Podziemski as a key piece of the Warriors' future. He debuted in the 2024 season and has already shown much promise. Podziemski has also proved he won't shy away from the bright lights of the postseason, putting up a pair of 20-point games in his first playoff run in 2025.

Zaza Pachulia

Zaza Pachulia
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

After years of making his biggest NBA impact with the Hawks and Bucks teams of the 2000s and 2010s, Pachulia became a valuable starting center for the Warriors in the 2017 and '18 seasons. He won championships in both of his years with the Warriors and was particularly key in the 2017 playoffs.

17 of 25

Leandro Barbosa

Leandro Barbosa
Kyle Terada/Imagn

"The Brazilian Blur" was one of the NBA's most impactful bench players in Phoenix, winning the Sixth Man Of The Year award in 2007. He provided a similar spark for the Warriors during his two years with the team, in 2015 and 2016. During the team's 2015 title run, he contributed with multiple double-digit scoring nights in the postseason.

Marreese Speights
Troy Taormina/Imagn

Speights bounced around the league, spending time with six teams during his ten-year career. His peak came with the Warriors, though, especially in 2015 when he averaged 10 points and four rebounds as one of the NBA's most impactful centers off the bench. He had some big playoff moments for the team, like a 22-point night in the first round of the 2016 postseason.

19 of 25

JaVale McGee

JaVale McGee
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

McGee was another guy who toured the NBA (he played with nine franchises in 16 years) but managed to contribute to winning with the Warriors. He won two titles alongside Curry in 2017 and 2018. His minutes were relatively limited during those postseasons, but every few games or so, he'd contribute timely scoring production and paint protection.

20 of 25

David West

David West
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

Years after his two All-Star seasons in New Orleans, West wrapped up his career with two seasons in Golden State. What a way to go out, too, as he won two titles with the Warriors, in 2017 and 2018. While his postseason playing time was sporadic, West's veteran leadership kept the Warriors grounded, and his occasional scoring flurries and defensive stability didn't hurt, either.

21 of 25

DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins
Kelley L Cox/Imagn

Cousins was reaching the end of his prime when he went to Golden State, and he ultimately only played in 30 games for the team. Still, he delivered some useful production during his short stint. As the starting center, he averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds a game in 2019.

22 of 25

Chris Paul

Chris Paul
D. Ross Cameron/Imagn

Paul was another former star who had just a cup of coffee in Golden State, playing 58 games for the Warriors in 2024. Even at 38 years old, though, you couldn't ask for a better backup point guard than Paul. Aside from providing veteran leadership, he contributed about 9 points and 7 assists per game.

23 of 25

Gary Payton II

Gary Payton II
Darren Yamashita/Imagn

It took Payton a minute to find his footing in the NBA, but once he did, he ended up being a valuable bench spark plug for the Warriors. He was with the team for its 2022 championship and even had a big playoff performance, scoring 15 points in the Finals and helping put Golden State one win away from the championship they ended up winning in six games.

24 of 25

Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield
Robert Edwards/Imagn

The departure of Klay Thompson left a big shooting hole in the Warriors' lineup. Hield was about as qualified a replacement as Golden State could have found, though, as he's one of the most productive three-point shooters in modern NBA history. He has been a valuable bench piece for the team, contributing 2.5 made threes a night.

25 of 25

D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Russell
Kyle Terada/Imagn

Russell and Curry weren't exactly iconic teammates, as the pair only shared the court for four games during the 2020 season. However, Russell provided some much-needed scoring that year, taking over the offense while Curry missed most of the year due to injury. The Warriors ultimately moved on from Russell in the middle of the season, trading him to acquire Andrew Wiggins.
