The Orlando Magic and Brooklyn Nets completed a minor deal yesterday. According to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel, the Osceola Magic, Orlando’s G-League franchise, acquired Patrick Gardner from the Long Island Nets in exchange for forward Tre Scott.
The Nets intend to waive center Patrick Gardner, per Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Garnder, 25, is 6-foot-11 and has spent time with the Long Island Nets of the G League, He’s likely headed back there, Lewis noted.
Patrick Gardner is coming off a season where he played for the Long Island Nets. He averaged 7.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.8% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range in 18 regular season games (four starts).
