Aaron Donald Humbles Young Rams Star After His Comments May Have Gone too Far
Kyle Terada/USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Donald still commands a presence and aura within the Los Angeles Rams. Even at the expense of humbling some younger Rams.

Except the Rams star "A.D" humbled happens to be last season's top rookie Jared Verse. The Rams' new top pass rusher jokingly called out Donald for his "little Instagram workouts" during his appearance on the Adam Schefter Podcast. Verse even boldly said how Donald can't keep up with him at the gym.

The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, however, heard the playful jab loud and clear. Donald fired off this warning via his own Instagram account on Wednesday.

"Somebody put the word out. I’m lookin’ for you, Verse!” Donald yelled from his home gym while on IG.

Donald even extended this invite to Verse.

“I’m lookin’ for you! Come to the house. I just want to talk. I just want to talk. That’s it," Donald said. "Nothing much, big dog. Just a little conversation."

However, Donald added that this isn't just any type of talk. Weights are included in this conversation he wants to have with the edge rusher.

"Put up a little weights, do a little cardio. The old man retirement workout," Donald said. "Put you through it, see what you can do. I just want to talk. Come on. I just want to talk.”

This sounds like an epic lift/workout competition between the two men. Donald led the past Rams defensive era. Verse is now positioned to take the leadership mantle moving forward. But Donald's workout proposal sounds like something worth filming on YouTube Live or other social media platforms. Even the Rams joked on X that they're "gettin' our popcorn ready."
