It is a tradition in professional sports for veteran players to have some fun at the expense of rookies. On a recent podcast episode of "Bussin’ with the Boys ," David Bakhtiari and Robert Tonyan were planning some pranks to pull on the rookies. For inspiration, they looked back to Brett Favre and a classic prank he did on then-rookie quarterback Aaron Rodgers:

To put this into context, sometimes a random team helmet will be placed in the locker room with a note for players to sign it. The signed helmet can get auctioned for charity or be used in an event that may require a signed piece of memorabilia. Bakhtiari then said one prank he wants to do is put a rookie’s actual practice helmet on that table with a “please sign” note. All the players will sign the helmet, and the rookie ends up having to practice in a helmet filled with signatures.

After he got done explaining the prank, Tonyan quipped, “Guess who did that. Brett Favre to A-Rod.”

Throughout his time in Green Bay, Favre was known as a jokester. One prank Favre called the cruelest joke he ever pulled was in cold weather. He recounted in an interview that he sneaked out of practice during an incredibly cold night. Favre found unlocked cars and moved them to the end of the parking lot. He then blasted the air conditioners, and poured water on the outside of the cars. Teammates had to walk in the freezing temperatures to find their cars and get them open. Once they did, all they found was that it was colder in their cars than it was outside.
