The Detroit Lions took to the practice field Friday ahead of their Monday Night Football showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Multiple key players remained sidelined after Detroit submitted a lengthy injury report on Thursday.

Those not active for the portion of practice open to the media include David Montgomery, Jonah Jackson and Frank Ragnow.

Benito Jones, Malcolm Rodriguez and Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who was listed as limited on the first injury report of the week, were observed at the team's Allen Park practice facility.

Jerry Jacobs, who missed last week's game with a knee injury, continued to be an active participant.

The Lions are tasked with rebounding from a humbling loss to the Baltimore Ravens. In the loss, the defense was picked apart by the opposing offense. After performing at an elite level through the first six weeks, the group was exposed.

Now, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is motivated to get his defense back into action and right the wrongs of last week's performance.

"We have a team of guys that really care. We have a team of guys that try to show up for each other, and man, sometimes at the end of the day, you've just got to do your job," Glenn said. "You've got to do it well, and that's across the board. I've said it several times, this is a partnership between coaches and players. So we as coaches have to make sure we give them everything we can, so they can operate the best way they can and then the players have to go ahead and execute at a high level. And we're continuing to say that, continuing to do that. That's our job as coaches and that's their job as players."

Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was also back at the team's practice facility supporting the defense.
