Ben Johnson coaching destination revealed

Ben Johnson has made his choice on his head coaching destination for 2025.

According to ESPN, the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator is finalizing a deal with the Chicago Bears to become their next head coach.

Johnson was linked to the Bears job heavily by analysts during the offseason, and the team was seen as one of three finalists alongside the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The news is disheartening for the Raiders, who pushed hard to bring Johnson over and tried to make it work. Ultimately, however, the red flags with the team were too much to overcome.

The Raiders will now be down one top candidate in their own search, with names like former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll being linked to the job as well.

Losing out on Johnson was a stroke of misfortune, but the Raiders can hopefully bounce back and come out a winner in this coaching cycle.
