Buccaneers need to move on from extremely disappointing player
Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

As a writer, I'm genuinely tired of writing about this topic. Legitimately, it is exhausting writing the same thing over and over again, but by that same token, as a fan that invests time and money into watching the team, watching it all happen the same way every time is equally tiring.

What the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are doing with Ke'Shawn Vaughn, and have been doing for a while now, is staggering. Vaughn does next to nothing when he is on the field, yet the Bucs show no signs of making a needed change to make the offense better.

Again, the ordeal is played out by this point, but the Buccaneers still need to find a way to get Ke'Shawn Vaughn off the field.

Look, there is nothing wrong with the guy as a person. In addition to this, there may not be that much wrong with him as a player. If you put Vaughn on the 49ers on the Ravens, he would probably look like a completely different player.

However, the Bucs have a bad scheme, and Vaughn is objectively a bad back in this scheme.

The results have been disastrous for a while now.

After a few weeks of asking some legitimate questions about the direction of this team and how Vaughn figures into helping the team out, Vaughn rushed four times for seven yards in a terrible loss today.

For those keeping track at home, this is third game in a row where the fourth-year back averaged less than two yards per carry on the game.

Play like this isn't just unsustainable, it is disastrous and actively beating the Buccaneers before they even have a chance to win a game themselves.

Again, it isn't all on Vaughn, especially when he gets hit in the backfield too, but even Rachaad White is averaging enough to get a first-down conversion every four rushes (a low bar to set), so it is clear that there is a disconnect between Vaughn and the Bucs.

A change is desperately needed. It doesn't matter who-the Bucs just need to find a genuine replacement soon.
