This happens every year to the Los Angeles Chargers. They always have one of the best overall rosters in the league but fall victim to the injury bug. It's not necessarily that they always have the most injuries in the league, but more so the names that are injured.
To start the year, Joey Bosa and Rashawn Slater were guys with notable injuries. Then Justin Herbert broke his finger, even though he continued to play through the injury. Now, one of his weapons is injured.
Mike Williams, one of the best deep-threat and contested catch guys in the league, is hurt every year, and this year is no different. But that isn't who we are talking about.
On Sunday, the Chargers placed their talented receiver, Josh Palmer, on the injured reserve list, meaning he is out for the next four games at the least. In a way, Palmer was becoming a legit threat to NFL defenses, and one of Herbert's favorite targets was not named Keenan Allen.
Now, they will lean even more on rookies Quinten Johnston and Derius Davis. The Chargers play the Jets on Monday Night Football on ESPN.
