The predictions are rolling in from every media outlet as they give their final thoughts on who will win the Super Bowl and any other category they can think of.
ESPN has put together a massive, in-depth NFL preview article, covering each team in five categories. For the "Bold Prediction of 2025" section of the Philadelphia Eagles' portion, ESPN writer Seth Walder likes for Eagles defensive lineman Moro Ojomo to prove his dominance in his pass-rushing skills.
"Defensive tackle Moro Ojomo-- who has zero career sacks -- will record at least 5.0 sacks and finish in the top 10 in pass rush win rate. We saw the success Milton Williams had playing next to Jalen Carter, and there are already positive signs for Ojomo: He posted a 13% pass rush win rate at defensive tackle last season, which would have ranked seventh at the position had he played enough to qualify."
Throughout the offseason, Ojomo has been a popular name among NFL writers as a breakout candidate for the 2025 season in Philadelphia. He has spent the last two seasons on the bench with 23 tackles and five quarterback hits in 25 games to show for it.
Ojomo got big praise from Pro Football Focus in the offseason as he was ranked as the 32nd best interior defensive lineman in the NFL. He received a 70.4 overall grade and an 82.4 pass rush grade in 2024.
While Eagles fans didn't get a chance to see him in preseason games, Ojomo got a lot of buzz during training camp for his play. He has demonstrated that, despite being a defensive tackle, he can easily reach the quarterback.
One aspect of his game that needs improvement is his run-stopping. That is something that even his fellow starters, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, must also improve upon. Having all three combined on the line, though, will still make it tough to run on the Eagles.
This Eagles defensive line is young, but if Ojomo can live up to all the hype of the offseason and training camp, that unit is going to be dominant for a long, long time.
