Each week in fantasy football brings new surprises, and Week Seven in the NFL proved that once again. Some top performers were expected, while others emerged unexpectedly or had their breakout moment. Stats provided by Sleeper for PPR format.
Bo Nix delivered his best fantasy performance of the season, posting four touchdowns against the New York Giants. Typically not viewed among the top fantasy quarterbacks, he’s QB6 entering Week Eight. Nix’s success this week, especially against a struggling Giants defense, sets high expectations as he faces the Dallas Cowboys’ league-worst pass defense next.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has consistently produced elite results, scoring at least 22.70-FPTS per game, without missing any time. His standout Week Seven outing against the Atlanta Falcons marks his season-best performance for fantasy managers who obtained him despite injury concerns when his value was low. His reliability and production are providing returns second-to-none.
After starting with inconsistent fantasy football value due to subpar quarterback play, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has feasted these last two weeks, after the addition of quarterback Joe Flacco. Week Eight presents the toughest pass-defense the team has seen since Week Four against the Broncos. Chase was a flop that week, so it’ll be interesting to see how he performs with Flacco against a tougher test.
Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has put up wide receiver-like point production every week. Scoring no fewer than 15.10-FPTS in a game before the injury to quarterback Kyler Murray, he’s actually increased the output with backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett. This is not to say the Cardinals have an easy win ahead, but the league’s worst defense of the Dallas Cowboys, is a tantalizing fantasy matchup.
He was without a double-digit performance all year, but Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons went off for three sacks in Week Seven against the Cardinals. There’s no consistency to warrant going out trying to acquire him, but current owners have a promising Week Eight against the Steelers’ second-worst pass defense.
The Cleveland Browns have been a poor fantasy football defense, but rank third in reality. The Week Seven performance is by far their best value to date, aided by the poor performance of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. With this being only their second double-digit performance of 2025, time will tell how much of that was the team and how much of it was the opponent. Thanks to Yahoo for supplying team defense stats.
All of these offensive players are reliable, high-end talent—extra credit to Nix for outperforming expectations regularly this season. The two defensive representatives are unreliable and unlikely to have this output consistently.
