The New York Jets will look to finish the 2024 season strong in the final three weeks with their playoff hopes already dashed.
They're coming off one of their best offensive performances of the entire season last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was an especially big game for quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receiver Davante Adams, who seemed to rekindle the connection they had together on the Green Bay Packers.
During his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," Rodgers discussed the performance and what it meant to him throwing to his "best friend."
“That feeling, that never gets old, you know?” Rodgers said. “Being able to throw to one of your best friends in the world, best friend in the league, down the middle 71 yards on the money and him make a beautiful catch after great protection to take the lead in the fourth quarter less than four minutes, like that never will get old.”
“I told him after the game, ‘You know at this point in the season if we have to go through all this to be able to have moments like today,’ and I swear to you we both agreed on this, you know it was all worth it to be able to share moments like that with people that you truly care about,” continued Rodgers.
Adams finished the game with a season-high nine catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns, all of which came in the second half. Rodgers finished with 289 passing yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
