Micah Parsons’ agent makes stunning admission after Packers trade

The Packers are clearly thrilled to have Micah Parsons, and the All-Pro was so fired up to land in Green Bay that he changed his jersey number, marking the beginning of a new chapter.

However, Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta revealed that a trade was never their desired outcome amid contentious negotiations with the Dallas Cowboys.

“I think the most important thing is Micah wanted to be a Cowboy,” Mulugheta said, during an appearance on ESPN. “He grew up cheering for the Cowboys, wore the blue and white at Penn State, wore it in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. He wanted to be a Cowboy, and we did everything we could for him to remain a Cowboy.”

While the fallout from the Cowboys not being able to strike a long-term agreement with Parsons have devolved into a he-said, he-said debacle between Parsons and owner Jerry Jones, it sounds like a trade was the last resort that the edge rusher with 52.5 career sacks and his agent thought could set him up for a successful next chapter of his career.
