Michael Thomas gives inside info on Carr-Olave drama
Maria Lysaker-USA TODAY Sports

Emotions are running high in New Orleans. New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr was noticeably frustrated late in Thursday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The bulk of his anger was shown on national television -  or at least on national streaming (Amazon Prime Video). One 'blow-up' from the Saints QB came after a failed third down conversion where Carr threw the ball away over wide receiver Chris Olave.

There's been plenty of discussion regarding the play, as well as Olive's effort in some scenarios recently. Saints veteran WR Michael Thomas cleared the air on the play and Olave's execution of it on Twitter earlier in the weekend.

"exactly his job is only to collision o/s shoulder of defender he is never the throw not even a alert. Only advice I would give him is to take the ball and know taysom runs fast so he has to run even faster to clear it out. But the progression is 7, 22, 13 eyes only went to 7" -- Thomas via Twitter

Thomas was pointing out Olave. He did it in the right manner, though. The former Pro Bowl WR gave Olave a bit of constructive criticism while also defending him since the progression did not involved the young wideout.
