NFL News: Rashee Rice Punished For 119 MPH Cowardly Incident

The NFL reports that justice is finally heading the way of Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver Rashee Rice. Reported just days ago, there’s more than just the pass-catcher that has consequences to deal with because of his idiotic behavior. Not only do his teammates have to pick up his slack in an already shallow receiver room, but the fans are also not receiving the best product possible. Not to mention his outright disregard for the well-being of anyone but himself.

NFL Drops The Hammer

Rice will serve a six-game suspension to start the 2025-26 season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Stemming from a multi-vehicle crash and fleeing the scene on March 30, 2024, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to two felony charges. In summary, he hurt innocent people while racing on the highway, and ran away on foot like a coward.

The judge handed down a 30-day sentence, but is allowing Rice the leniency to choose when he serves the time. It must be nice to be rich, famous, and playing in the NFL. The reported plan is to expect the star back for Week Seven to play the Raiders.

NFL Consequences

It’s unfair to dismiss the true victims in this case, the innocent drivers sent to the hospital by a selfish man doing 119 mph on the highway. Unfortunately, NFL fans will be without a talented star for a period of time, who should do much more than pay their medical bills. The report mentions that Rice will not appeal the suspension and is no longer permitted to practice with the team during this unpaid absence.

End Of My NFL Rant

For all of the wholesome or teaching moments in sports, there are always fools who get their bag and treat the world as their own. These stars need genuine friends who wouldn’t hesitate to call them on their stupidity. The young and elite tend to need a trustworthy circle who have their best interest in mind.
