Patrick Mahomes entered Week 7 having thrown a whopping eight interceptions on the season. That came after the Kansas City Chiefs superstar threw a combined 11 interceptions over the past two seasons.
With his Chiefs at a disappointing 3-3 on the season, they are taking on the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday. To say that things did not start out swimmingly for the former NFL MVP and his team would be an understatement.
Kansas City fell down 27-0 at halftime. The team was out-gained 277-68 during that span with Mahomes turning the ball over two more times within the first 30 minutes. That included an ugly interception and a lost fumble late in the second quarter that led directly to a Titans field goal.
Mahomes has now turned the ball over 11 times in less than seven full games. It’s one of the most shocking developments of the NFL season. The game’s best quarterback looking average and mistake-prone. In the process, he’s leading one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL.

Tough watching Mahomes today. The same things that make him so special, and he is SPECIAL, are the same things that hurt him at times. What’s that 16 ints in the last 16 games? The ints shouldn’t be too surprising. A year ago or so he had like 19 dropped ints in 1 season.

Mahomes doesn't get to be excused for everything. He's been great at times this season. He's also been Buccaneers-version Jameis Winston at times.

The defense stinks, but some of these throws are comically bad
