Packers Fantasy Football Starts and Sits vs. Falcons

The Green Bay Packers earned their first victory of the season in Week 2, but with few fantasy standouts. That could change Thursday against the Atlanta Falcons, with several Packers worthy of being in starting lineups.

Before making those last-minute lineup changes, take a look at the starts and sits for the Packers in Week 3.

WR Christian Watson – Start

Watson had a middling performance in Week 2, catching four of 11 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown. But he still ranks sixth among receivers with 46.80 fantasy points.

Entering Week 3, Watson leads the Packers with 19 targets, so he’s almost always a must-start, no matter the opponent.

TE Tucker Kraft – Start

By Kraft’s standards, he’s had a slow start to the year, ranked 26th among fantasy tight ends with 13.00 points. Meanwhile, he’s only received nine targets through two weeks, limiting his value.

But Kraft will come around, and you don’t want him sitting on your bench when he does.

K Trey Smack – Start

Smack has been perfect thus far, minus a missed extra point in Week 1. Last week, he hit two high-leverage field goals in the fourth quarter, one that tied the game, and the overtime winner.

Through two weeks, he ranks fifth among kickers in fantasy points with 20.00.

Packers Defense/Special Teams – Start

Falcons have given up the most fantasy points to defense/special teams units this season, with 50.00.

Enough said.

QB Jordan Love – Sit

Love ranks 15th among quarterbacks, with 33.28 fantasy points. Which isn’t bad, but it isn’t great.

Atlanta has the 11th-highest pressure rate (40.9) through two weeks. Meanwhile, right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele is out for the season, while left guard Aaron Brooks is sitting out Thursday.

Love will probably have an okay day, but there are likely better options at QB for your team.

Green Bay Running Backs – Sit

Through two games, the Packers have the league’s worst rushing offense, averaging just 64.5 yards per game.

Neither MarShawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks, nor Kaleb Johnson are lineup-worthy. It’s even a stretch to have them on your roster.
