Odell Beckham Jr. missed last week’s game against the Washington Redskins because of a quad injury he has been battling, and he has not made enough improvement over the past several days to play on Sunday.
Giants head coach Pat Shurmur announced on Friday that Beckham will not play when the team hosts the Tennessee Titans this weekend.

Beckham said Thursday that he is starting to feel much better, but he also visited with a specialist and said “s— ain’t right” when discussing the injury. It’s hard to tell if the Giants would be more willing to push him if they were still in playoff contention rather than being 5-8.
For what it’s worth, Beckham said recently that he is still fully confident the Giants are going to make the playoffs. Whether or not he will be on the field again this season to help them accomplish that goal remains to be seen.
