Myles Garrett is now on the Los Angeles Rams after being traded in a blockbuster deal with the Cleveland Browns on June 1st. Cleveland received defensive end Jared Verse, a 2027 first round pick, a 2028 second round pick, and a 2029 third round pick for the vaunted Defensive Tackle.
Garrett spent his first nine seasons in the league in Cleveland after being selected No. 1 overall by the Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft. Garrett lived up to his draft position billing, making seven All-Pro teams, including five first-team All-Pro selections and twice won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award (2023, 2025).
The James Martin High School graduate is coming off a record setting season in which he set the NFL record for most consecutive seasons with 12+ sacks (6) along with setting the record for most sacks in a single season (23). The reigning defensive player of the year is entering unfamiliar territory as he leaves the for the West Coast, but on Tuesday, the Rams announced that the Texas-native will bring something recognizable with him to Los Angeles.
The Rams went to social media to announce that Garrett will wear the same No. 95 that the seven time pro bowler wore in Cleveland. In a post on X, Los Angeles posted a graphic of Garrett in the teams primary home jersey, featuring the bright royal blue with the yellow shoulder horns and uniform numbers. Fans and media were quick to notice that Garrett was featured in his same No. 95 jersey number.
"First look at @Flash_Garrett in royal + sol. ," the Rams wrote on X.
