Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady covered a matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders on Sunday.
The Fox Sports crew was in Philadelphia for the NFC Championship Game, where the Eagles entered as a 6-point favorite over the Commanders, per ESPN BET.
During the matchup between the top NFC teams, Brady had a broadcasting error.
Brady spoke about Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has led Washington to two playoff wins en route to the NFC Championship Game.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion mentioned that Daniels was the only rookie in NFL history to win two playoff games on the road, but this was a factual error on Brady's end.
"He's not playing like a rookie," Brady said, per Awful Announcing. "He's actually playing at an MVP-type level. Won two playoff road games, a rookie has never done that. He's really been in a league of his own."
Daniels is the first NFC rookie quarterback to win two road games in the playoffs, but Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez have previously achieved the feat in the AFC.
Flacco led the Baltimore Ravens to two road playoff victories in 2008 while Sanchez helped the New York Jets win two road playoff games in 2009.
Despite the broadcasting blunder by Brady, he was clear when commenting on Daniels' MVP-caliber play.
Ahead of the matchup against the Eagles, Daniels entered the game posting four touchdowns and 567 yards with a 69.7 completion percentage in the playoffs.
The Commanders' No. 2 overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft is in line to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
