Stefon Diggs and the Minnesota Vikings clearly weren’t on the best of terms for some time ahead of this week’s blockbuster trade to the Buffalo Bills. The enigmatic wide receiver nevertheless had nothing but kind words for the organization in a farewell post to fans he shared on social media.
With the Bills making the acquisition of Diggs official on Friday, the wideout felt it was time to take to Instagram to give a shout-out to “Skol Nation,” not to mention to relay how the “state of Minnesota and the entire Vikings organization will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Skol Nation just know that I gave all my heart, soul and body every time I stepped on the field. Your chants, cheers and unyielding support was everything to me. Thank you! The past five years were truly an amazing experience. To say we made memories would be a huge understatement. The state of Minnesota and the entire Vikings organization will always hold a special place in my heart because it is where my NFL story began. To the entire Wilf family, I’d like to thank you, again, for believing enough in me to draft me. To my coaches and personnel staff, thank you for everything. I’ve learned so much from each of you about the game I love. To my teammates- -my brothers, thanks for the unending support. I’ll always have your backs!! Much Love Skol Nation!!!
To say Diggs’ relationship with the Vikings has been in a downward spiral for the better part of a year would be an understatement. That doesn’t necessarily mean Diggs doesn’t have some good memories from his time with the Vikings — the “Minneapolis Miracle” unquestionably being among the best — nor does it mean he’s forgotten about the bonds he developed with teammates during his five-season tenure.
Diggs finishes his Vikings career with 365 receptions for 4,623 yards and 30 touchdowns across 70 games after the team selected him out of Maryland with the 146th pick in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
