A former star’s cap hit is on the move. On Sunday, the Philadelphia Flyers traded the contract of defenseman Ryan Ellis, as well as a 2026 NHL Draft pick, to the San Jose Sharks.

The Philadelphia Flyers traded Ryan Ellis and a conditional sixth-round pick to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. In return, the Sharks send back Carl Grundstrom and Artem Guryev.
