Mikey Eyssimont is making a strong case to stick with the Seattle Kraken next season

When the Seattle Kraken traded Oliver Bjorkstrand and Yanni Gourde to the Tampa Bay Lightning for two first-round picks, a second-round pick, and depth forward Mikey Eyssimont, our immediate reaction to Eyssimont’s inclusion in the deal was that he was some sort of throw-in from the Lightning.

According to Natural Stat Trick, the Tampa Bay Lightning used 14 line combinations in their 4-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Monday night. Granted one of them, Nick Paul – Luke Glendening – Mikey Eyssimont, only spent 19 seconds together, but the other 13 were together for at least a full shift at even strength.
