Luka Doncic's incredible performance leads Mavericks past Warriors

Luka Doncic remains one of the most gifted and talented players in the NBA.

He proved that once again on Sunday with a 40-point triple-double in the Mavericks' 143-133 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Doncic was phenomenal, finishing with 45 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists. He did it all on 16-of-23 shooting (6-of-11 3PT) and had already secured a triple-double through 26 minutes of game time.

Doncic wasn't the only story, as Klay Thompson had an excellent game against his former team. Thompson made 7-of-11 3PT and scored 29 points, which was good for his season high.

The three-headed monster of Doncic, Thompson and Kyrie Irving combined for 95 of the Mavericks' 143 points.

Golden State had four players with 20+ points. Andrew Wiggins led that group with 29 points. Stephen Curry (26 points), Draymond Green (21 points off the bench) and Jonathan Kuminga (20 points) were the other three Warriors in double figures.

The 21 points for Green were a season-high for him, and Kuminga's 20-point game was his third straight.

The Mavericks improved to 17-9 on the season with the win, and Golden State fell to 14-11 with the loss.
