'No longer feeling blue': Giants, John Harbaugh earn top billing in vibe ranking

Don't look now, but the New York Giants and John Harbaugh actually got a No. 1 ranking among other NFL teams. The season hasn't even started yet, too. That's happy news for the Giants.

So, Harbaugh signed with the Giants during the offseason, and he has the hard task of turning this franchise with a losing record around. When New York inked Harbaugh, it got lots of attention. It was simply a huge move and still has the NFL talking.

That's what makes this franchise so interesting this season. It's not just interesting for the Giants and their fanbase, either. Lots of people care.

John Harbaugh, Giants get No. 1 ranking

In a piece out on Monday for USA Today, reporter Nick Brinkerhoff names the Giants the No. 1 team on his "vibe check" roster. That means they have a near-perfect vibe for the upcoming season.

"'Big Blue' is no longer feeling blue. Not after hiring John Harbaugh," he writes in the piece. "Not after Jaxson Dart's rookie season. No, there is legitimate optimism that hasn't been present around these parts in a long time."

He adds, "And no, the Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones arranged marriage wasn't one of those times for optimism. It goes back much further than that."

What's even better is that he deems that the team is "back on the NFL map." That's music to the ears of Big Blue and anyone who wants to see this franchise finally return to its former glory in New York.
