Angel Reese gets honest on being mentally grounded amid WNBA season

Angel Reese shares who keeps her grounded

Reese shared that her family keeps her focused and mentally prepared for what lies ahead in the season. She also highlighted the support she’s receiving from them, as well as her partner, Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr.

“I think probably my family,” Reese said. “My mom is my biggest supporter. This is the first time she’s been traveling. She loves the moms. Rhyne’s mom and Naz’s mom, they’re like three trios. They always travel together and they’re supporting us all the time and texting us. And Janine, my agent, she’s always supportive. They have a group chat with Janine and they’re joking around all the time. So I think it’s just so much fun.

“At home, my partner is great. He’s always supporting me and always there for me through the highs and the lows and telling me how special I am. I think that also is help, especially somebody else that’s in the space that is in the professional (ranks) and has played at the highest level and knows what it takes to be great and be here in this moment. So I think just my support system has just always been there in Atlanta. They’ve loved me through the highs and the lows. They’ve loved me, and I really appreciate it.”

Reese and the Dream will return to action on Sept. 17 when they host the Connecticut Sun at Gateway Center Arena. They are battling for a top three seed with the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever.
