The new OTW by Vans x Engineered Garments collab just dropped featuring two unique takes on the classic Vans Slip-On 98 silhouette.

Each pair arrives mismatched with panels and textures intentionally offset, which means no two shoes will feel quite the same. This could've been gimmicky, in all honesty, but when you really dissect it, you realize there's purpose behind the design. Get a closer look at the kicks below, along with some info on this unexpected link up.

"Timeless design meets purposeful asymmetry. The Slip-On 98 arrives in mismatched pairs. Shaped by Daiki Suzuki’s vision and built to evolve with wear," Vans mentioned on Instagram. The result? We're given a Vans Slip-On 98 with fresh personality that still stays true to the timeless look and feel of this classic skate shoe.

Earlier this year, we pulled together seven of our favorite Vans OTW drops of 2025 (so far)—and you can peep that roundup above. Truth is, OTW has been dropping heat all year. Well, some are certainly worth debate, but plenty of others were instant hits.

What keeps OTW exciting its unpredictability. One drop will tap into some timeless design, the next will throw you something completely out of left field. Again, not every drop hits the same, but when they do, it’s undeniable—and these mismatched Slip-Ons are a perfect example.

And in case you're wondering what Engineered Garments is, here's a little backstory:

Engineered Garments was founded by Daiki Suzuki in New York in 1999, after taking inspiration from his years buying for the Nepenthes stores in their early stages, and combining it with his own vision. As a brand, our aim is to make garments that become more personal through the experiences you have with them. We value unique garment construction with attention to detail, with meaning and hidden qualities behind each design. We venture into conflicting themes, straying from “perfect design”. We are not designed but engineered.

The shoes are available now on vans.com/otw, but like all OTW drops, they're bound to move fast. Get there while you can!
